Go Connecticut!

Way to go Connecticut, maybe west coast people can learn something from you northeast coast people! The Connecticut Supreme Court ruled 4-3 on Oct. 10 that same-sex couples have the right to wed rather than accept a civil union law designed to give them the same rights as married couples. They join Massachusetts in being a NORMAL state, legalizing gay marriage!

I read this in the paper the other day so maybe next time all you narrow minded people put your hand over your heart and recite the pledge, here is what you should say  I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all except for gay couples.

So Boo to Florida, Arizona, Arkansas, and California for voting down equal rights for all citizens. And a double boo to the Mormons for raising all that money for Yes on 8. One more interesting thing I read in the paper – “if Jesus were here and you gave him 75 million dollars would he use it to help prevent same sex marriage or would he use it to help feed and provide shelter for the needy? The “religious” right really needs to re-evaluate its priorities”.

Protest Prop 8 on November 15 Nationwide

You can actually hear his heart in his voice.

One Response

  1. It’s great that another state court has realized and ruled in favor of protecting the very core of the Constitution, protecting equal protection under the law for all classes of people. California was on that track, and hopefully will soon be on that track once again. The Constitution was built to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority and this is what we are seeing being played out in the courts and legislative bodies.

Prop H8 in California has dramatically undone these core principles, but it is only a matter of time before the California Constitution is reinstated into its proper without Prop H8! Liberty and justice always prevail in the end, and so it shall this time too.
