Apology

Just in case you are the one person that looks forward to the Daily Dalia daily I am sorry I missed the last 2 days. My internet went out…I know, how awful is that, I felt estranged from the world. When I called my cable company on Thursday and they said no one could come out until Friday I was like “you are kidding me, right”. It’s different when you are on vacation, a computer should be eliminated from your agenda but unless I am sitting by a pool, sipping a drink with an umbrella I need my technology. I had a dentist appointment on Friday (a new dentist to me) and I had forgot the name of the practice and did not have a phone number…they were all on my computer. I had to drive 90 minutes round trip to the closest person to me with a computer. Lesson learned; write my contacts down in my old fashion personal telephone book. Then I panicked, I was thinking of going to a movie and thought “how am I going to find out what is playing and movie times”…my world was crumbling right before my eyes. Do I actually have to call the theater and listen to that long message to get my movie listings! But then I had to wait for my cable guy so I didn’t even have time to go…whew, that problem solved. Thank God I could text people since my email was down, that brought some relief. So what “technology” did Laura Ingalls miss when it would break down…maybe the yoke breaking on the plow? Every generation misses something… in the future when my grandkids break their time machine they will be bummed for a couple days until that is fixed and so on and so on. All I know is I’m back on line and the world is my oyster once again!!

  1. All I know is that my kids hate to look up words in the dictionary …it seems all to old fashioned to them when you can just point and click.
