I wish I may, I wish I might…

When I blow out the candles on my Happy Birthday America cake and make my wish I want this “close race” to take a strong democratic lead (I bet Hillary would have had a bigger lead but I’m not one of those people who will say “I told you so”)!

WASHINGTON, July 3 (UPI) — Republican political analysts say they are surprised that the U.S. presidential race is so close, given the handicaps facing their party.

John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, is burdened by an unpopular Republican president and an economy heading downhill. But many polls show McCain in a statistical tie with Democrat Barack Obama.

Sorry Dalia, we lost

I guess the fat lady has sung, Hillary will not be our next President. This deeply saddens me, my hope for a female president have been squashed. As I stated in an earlier post, my Mom had NOW meetings at our house when I was little so it is in my blood. I have said for the past 20 years or so that before I die I hope to see a woman president. I’m not that old and there is still time but in my heart I thought Hillary would be the one. In my eyes, she is truly passionate about this position and Barack, on the otherhand,  is just another “politician”. I loved HIllary’s quote “I want the nearly 18 million Americans who voted for me to be respected , to be heard and no longer invisible”.  I went with my gut/heart and I believed Hillary was the one, and for the record, my gut/heart is usually correct. Yes, she may be asked to be V.P but that just doesn’t cut it for me.

I will vote for Barack but will always wonder how Hillary would have done it.

She’s out…not wait, she’s safe!

OK Mom, who the heck are these superdelegates and why aren’t they supporting Hillary? Her campaign says she can catch Obama in the popular vote by turning out the vote in the remaining five contests…whatever that means. Mom, did you know that that no Democrat has won the White House since 1916 without winning West Virginia…maybe these superdelegate people will listen to that. Is Bush done yet?

Part 3 of J’s Journey

Mom, why is he being so stubborn, doesn’t he know he will be a great VP? Now where am I headed, this trip is toooooo long!

According to Hillary politics is alot like driving, if you want to go forward you put it in “D” if you want to go backwards you put it in “R”

The Fat Lady has not Sung

Mom, how do I get to Indiana??

She’s headed to Pennsylvania

You’re never too young to have an opinion.  This girl made up her mind all  on her own, her dad is for Obama and her mom is for Hillary so she had to choose. She was smart enough to at least know to stay with the Democratic party, if she went with McCain I have a feeling there would be no desserts for awhile!
